The Riga IIs Aluminet Shade Net is a 50% aluminum reflective shade net designed for exterior installation on the Riga IIs (7x7) greenhouse. It is the most affordable shade net in the Riga series, sized for the compact 54 sq ft footprint of the IIs. The net is sized at 14' wide × 7' long — wider than the greenhouse footprint — so it wraps over the roofline and down both sides for full coverage. The single roof vent remains fully functional with the shade net installed.

Standard Riga models (IIs through V) use 14' wide nets. Riga XL models use 21' wide nets to accommodate the XL’s 14-foot greenhouse width. The Riga IIs net at 14' × 7' is the smallest and most affordable in the series. Always order the net designated for your specific greenhouse model.
Why Use a Shade Net on a Riga IIs?
The Riga IIs uses 8mm/10mm twin-wall polycarbonate glazing that transmits a high percentage of solar radiation — ideal for winter growing but can cause overheating in summer. The compact 54 sq ft interior heats up quickly on sunny days, and the single automatic roof opener may not be sufficient to maintain comfortable growing temperatures during peak summer heat. The Aluminet shade net reduces solar heat gain by approximately 50%, keeping the interior cooler while still providing sufficient light for most crops.
