The Riga XL 6 is the entry point to the Riga XL series — a professional-grade, large-format greenhouse engineered for serious growers, serious hobbyists, and small-scale commercial operations. At 280 sq ft with 9'10" of peak headroom, it is a fundamentally different product from the standard Riga series: 16mm triple-wall polycarbonate glazing (vs. 8mm twin-wall on the standard Riga), 4 automatic roof openers, two Dutch doors (front and rear), and an insulation R/K-value of up to 2.5 (vs. 1.89 on the standard series). The additional layer significantly improves insulation — the Riga XL achieves R/K-value up to 2.5 vs. 1.89 for the standard Riga series. This translates to lower heating costs in winter and better temperature stability year-round. The 16mm thickness also provides greater structural rigidity and impact resistance.

Why does the Riga XL have two Dutch doors?
The 14-foot width and 280 sq ft interior of the Riga XL 6 benefits from front and rear access for workflow efficiency — bringing in supplies from one end and moving harvests out the other without navigating the full length of the greenhouse. The rear door also provides additional ventilation options independent of the roof windows.

Do I need the base kit?
The heavy-duty I-beam base kit (+$2,199) is strongly recommended for soil or lawn installations. It provides a more robust foundation than the standard Riga base kits, appropriate for the larger footprint and heavier construction of the XL series. How long does assembly take?
Assembly requires 2–3 people and approximately 2 full days. Written instructions are included. Due to the larger scale and heavier components of the XL series, we recommend having 3 people for the assembly and using the Riga assembly facilitation kit (metric tape, 10mm wrenches, ratchet straps, Boss 399 silicone caulk, window restraint cables), available separately.
