The Riga Roof Window is an additional polycarbonate roof window for the Riga greenhouse series. It adds a second (or additional) ventilation opening to your greenhouse, increasing airflow and reducing interior temperatures during warm weather. Each window includes one automatic wax-cylinder opener — no electricity required. The opener activates automatically when the interior temperature rises, pushing the window open, and closes again as the temperature drops.

When Should You Add an Extra Roof Window?
The standard Riga greenhouse ships with one automatic roof opener per roof window. For most climates, the standard ventilation is sufficient. However, an additional roof window is recommended when:

- Your greenhouse is in a sheltered location with limited natural airflow

How the Automatic Opener Works
The included automatic opener uses a sealed wax-cylinder (paraffin) mechanism. As the greenhouse interior temperature rises above approximately 72°F (22°C), the paraffin expands and pushes a piston outward, which opens the window. As the temperature drops, the paraffin contracts and the window closes under its own weight. The cycle repeats automatically throughout the day with no user intervention or electricity required.
